1. What is SongTap?

SongTap is a web-based app that lets fans request songs from a musician’s setlist, offer their support, and send a personal message or dedication for the musician to share during their performance.


2. How does SongTap work?

Fans scan the musician’s QR code, view the setlist, select a song, and make a contribution along with a personal message or shout-out. The musician sees the request on their device and performs the song, sharing the fan’s message with the audience.


3. Is there a sign-up fee for SongTap?

No, there are no sign-up fees. SongTap is a pay-as-you-go service, meaning you only incur a small service fee when fans make contributions.


For Fans

4. Do I need to download an app to use SongTap?

No download is required! Just scan the QR code, and SongTap will open in your browser.


5. Can I add a dedication or shout-out with my song request?

Absolutely! You can include a message to dedicate the song to a friend, loved one, or anyone special.


6. How do I support the musician with my request?

When you select a song, you’ll see an option to make a contribution to support the musician. You can choose the amount and pay securely through the platform.


7. What if the musician doesn’t play my requested song?

Musicians do their best to accommodate all requests, but they may not get to every song depending on time and other requests.


For Musicians

8. How do I get started with SongTap?

Sign up for a SongTap account from our homepage. This will create your own dashboard and link your bank account for receiving payments. You can then upload your setlist(s) and download the QR code, and you’re good to go.


9. Can I customize my setlist on SongTap?

Yes! You can easily update your setlist anytime to reflect your current repertoire.


10. Can I have more than one setlist?

Yes, you can upload as many setlists as you like. Each one will have a different QR code to display at your gigs.


11. How do I receive contributions and song requests?

Support contributions and requests show up on your SongTap dashboard. Payments are securely processed and deposited directly into your account.


12. How much do I earn from SongTap?

When a fan makes a contribution, a small service fee is shared between the fan and the musician to cover the app’s operation and payment processing. For example, if a fan contributes $5, the musician receives $4.25 (85% of the contribution, with a 15% service fee).


13. Is there a fee to use SongTap?

No sign-up fees or subscriptions! SongTap operates on a pay-as-you-go basis. If you have lots of gigs, you get to use the app and earn from fan contributions. If you don’t use it, there are no fees.


14. Is there a timeout for using SongTap?

No, your account will remain active even if you don’t use it for a while. Since there are no sign-up or subscription fees, you can use SongTap whenever it suits your schedule.

15. What devices are compatible with SongTap?

SongTap works on any smartphone or device with a web browser.


16. Is SongTap secure?

Yes, SongTap uses secure payment processing to protect your transactions.
